Description

Ma'loul is een Palestijns dorp dat in 1948 door de Israeli's werd verwoest. De inwoners werden verjaagd. Al wat overbleef waren twee kerken en een moskee. Sindsdien hebben elk jaar op de dag van lsraels onafhankelijkheid op de plaats waar eens het dorp stond, herdenkingen plaats van de ex-bewoners.

Deze vertoning maakt deel uit van United Screens for Palestine, een collectief van programmatoren, cultuurwerkers en culturele centra dat eind vorig jaar het initiatief Refusing to Disappear lanceerde. Deze reeks filmvertoningen viert de rijke Palestijnse cinematraditie.
