Des photos amateurs dynamiques et naturelles de photographes américains au tournant du 20e siècle. Tintypes, cyanotypes, albumines et plaques de verre. En dialogue avec les 100 originaux, la collection a été numérisée en ultra-haute définition. Amusantes, émotives, les photos et les originaux minuscules et uniques sont mis en vis-à-vis de grands tirages de 2m2 et plongent le visiteur dans la proximité de ces visages si contemporains alors que plus d'un siècle nous sépare. Même sans réseaux sociaux, déjà à la fin du 19e siècle, la mise en scène et le partage des images de sa vie deviennent une préoccupation des photographes amateurs. Cette exposition illustre le dynamisme avec lequel ils ont commencé à utiliser l'appareil photo, d'une manière qui nous émeut encore aujourd'hui.La TinyGallery est située à deux pas de la place Flagey à Ixelles. Elle est équipée d’un labo pour les techniques anciennes et la photographie traditionnelle. Elle accueille des ateliers sur les techniques alternatives du Cyanotype, Calotype, Collodion humide.

Dynamische en natuurlijke amateurfoto's van Amerikaanse fotografen rond de eeuwwisseling van de 20e eeuw. Tintypes, cyanotypes, albumine en glasplaten. In samenspraak met de 100 originelen is de collectie gedigitaliseerd in ultra-high definition. Grappig, emotioneel, de foto's en de piepkleine en unieke originelen staan tegenover grote afdrukken van 2m2 en dompelen de bezoeker onder in de nabijheid van deze gezichten die zo hedendaags zijn terwijl meer dan een eeuw ons scheidt. Zelfs zonder sociale netwerken werd het ensceneren en delen van beelden van iemands leven al aan het eind van de 19e eeuw een preoccupatie van amateurfotografen. Deze tentoonstelling illustreert de dynamiek waarmee zij de camera begonnen te gebruiken, op een manier die ons vandaag nog steeds ontroert.De TinyGallery ligt vlak bij het Flageyplein in Elsene. Het is uitgerust met een laboratorium voor oude technieken en traditionele fotografie. Er worden workshops gegeven over de alternatieve technieken Cyanotype, Vandijk, Bichromaatgom.

Tintype, Cyanotype, Albumines and Silver Plates.Dynamic and natural amateur photos by American photographers at the turn of the 20th century. Tintypes, cyanotypes, albumins and glass plates. In dialogue with the 100 originals, the collection has been digitised in ultra-high definition. Funny, emotional, the photos and the tiny and unique originals are placed opposite large 2m2 prints and immerse the visitor in the proximity of these faces so contemporary while more than a century separates us.
