James Massiah is a dub poet from South London, UK whose work explores ideas about sexuality, mortality & hedonism through performance, writing, visual media & music. His ongoing series of New Poems details his day-to-day experiences of life, love and labour in the big city. James also runs the poetry night Adult Entertainment and the writing salon Adult Education. He hosts a monthly show on NTS Radio and has curated events for Boiler Room. True Romance, his latest EP, was released in May 2024 by LEVELS. His work has been featured by the BBC, the Guardian, Dior, Nike, Vogue, Dazed, i-D, Tate Modern and even the UK's Houses of Parliament. In his live performances James combines his poetry with alternative electronics and touches of house music, all while exuding a dubby dancehall spirit.

Belgian-born composer and performer Daisy Ray approaches sound with an intuitive, bricolage-like playfulness. In her sonic universe, a love for dancing and high energy intertwines with her affinity for storytelling, nursery rhymes and mystique concrète. Unbound by genre, Daisy’s music dances joyfully between her melancholic heart and a sun-wired spirit. Cut up, spat out, scorched, and screwed — her songs never come out straight.

Promesses
When DJs Samos and Härdee mix together, they call themselves Promesses. Which they enjoy so much that they organise their own parties under the moniker Professeur Promesses. In fact, they enjoy organising soooo much that they even set up Milieux Festival and catapulted Promesses into a border-smashing record label, with releases by Apulati Bien, chiasm and DJ Call Me (among others) and compilation gems with the likes of Clara!, salome and Kelman Duran. The common thread? Hybridity and eclecticism – or long live the absence of any common thread! Promesses' releases, their shows on Rinse FM and their live sets never care about "how it should be", they’re all about how it sounds. Rap, reggaeton, footwork, trance, jersey, baile funk, hyperpop, ambient ... anything goes, except putting boundaries on the expressive freedom of artists and audiences.
