Synopsis:

Naçiye Van der Straeten, a 78-year-old Belgian woman, is fighting Parkinson’s disease by boxing in Antalya, Turkey. In the ring, her body straightens and dances. Alone in her mountain village, the ghosts she is running away catch up with her.

Director's Biography:

After studying audiovisual techniques in Biarritz and completing actor direction training at CIFAP in Paris, Gabriel began his career as a director of photography for the Canal+ group. In 2021, he directed his first documentary, Pole Espoir, which was selected for festivals, and in 2022, his first short film, Drift.

Biographie du réalisateur :

Après des études de techniques audiovisuelles à Biarritz et une formation de direction d’acteurs au CIFAP à Paris, Gabriel débute sa carrière comme chef opérateur pour le groupe Canal +. En 2021, il réalise son premier documentaire, Pole Espoir, sélectionné en festivals et en 2022, son premier court métrage, Drift.
