• In Search of Borboletas – A captivating exploration of Gery Mendes’ journey to reconnect with his cultural roots.

• O Regresso de Amílcar Cabral – A tribute to the life and legacy of Amílcar Cabral, a visionary leader who shaped the future of Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau.

This event is part of the Casa di Cabral pop up exhibition, curated by Tania Christina & The BlackArchives, and hosted at Hiphophuis. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate culture, heritage, and storytelling through film.

After the program in hiphophuis there will be a unique a cinematic music concert in LantarenVenster named A Tale of Kriolo Times. This one-off experience combines music, storytelling, movement and film and is a tribute to Mendes' Cape Verdean roots. Inspired by several trips to his parents' native country,
