WonderCat, a multifunctional art space, gallery, atelier, art school and event venue invites to its open house. Nestled in the heart of historic Leiden, WonderCat aspires to be a sanctuary for creativity, expression, and connection, with a focus on community engagement and cultural enrichment.
Program:
· Exhibitions: Jana Komaritsa “Fragments of Melancholia” and “31 Cats of Winter”
Mesmerizing collection of melancholic and moody paintings, inspired by the places visited by the artist, invite visitors to journey through dreamlike terrains of shadow, light, and introspection.
The body of work “31 Cats of Winter” features a collection of miniature cat paintings, created daily throughout December 2024. Each piece celebrates the season and the charm of cats.
· Artist Talk
The artist and owner of the space Jana Komaritsa will talk about the space, ideas and vision behind it and about her new exhibitions.
· Creative Table
Throughout the day visitors can immerse themselves in creative projects, painting and drawing together at a shared art table.
· Music. Droning & Drawing
Cinematic music invites visitors to unleash the creativity to cosmic, enigmatic sounds.
