Karim Blal is an inventive and virtuosic pianist, Italian by origin and Parisian at heart. Inspired by the greatest jazz pianists, he quickly developed his own unique style while remaining deeply attached to the pianists of the ‘great tradition’—and it shows. There is something truly essential in his music. Already recognized by the greatest musicians, and having studied under Barry Harris and Kenny Barron, Karim has performed alongside Ari Hoenig, Hans Glawischnig, and E.J.
