Thanks to his powers, Mister Invincible never forgets to fetch bread for his grandma at noon. Oh, and he saves the world too, sometimes. How does he pull it off? By being invincible, of course! Mister Invincible is aware that he is in a comic book. As such, he can manipulate the medium’s rules.
As a versatile medium, comic books allow artists to play with storytelling, visuals, and established conventions. Among the many artistic experiments, "metacomics" stand out as a captivating form, pushing the boundaries of traditional comics.

Grâce à ses pouvoirs, Imbattable n’oublie jamais d’aller chercher le pain pour sa mémé le midi. Bon, il sauve le monde aussi. Comment il réussit ce tour de force ? En étant imbattable évidemment ! Imbattable a conscience d’être une bande dessinée. Il peut donc détourner les codes de celle-ci.

En tant que médium polyvalent, la bande dessinée permet aux artistes de manipuler la narration, le visuel et les conventions établies. Dans les diverses expérimentations artistiques, les « méta bandes dessinées » se distinguent comme une forme captivante, repoussant les frontières de la bande dessinée traditionnelle.

L'exposition offre une plongée approfondie dans le concept de la méta Bande Dessinée et de ses précurseurs au cours d'une visite immersive.

Dankzij zijn krachten vergeet Onklopbaar nooit om 's middags brood voor zijn oma te halen. Goed, hij redt ook wel eens de wereld. Hoe doet hij dat? Door onklopbaar te zijn natuurlijk! Onklopbaar weet dat hij een stripfiguur is. Hij kent dan ook de regels van het stripverhaal en kan ze manipuleren.

Pascal Jousselin heeft de klassieke structuur van stripvakjes omgetoverd tot een waar speelveld van narratieve verkenning en verrassing. Zijn personages bewegen vrij door de ruimte, wat voor originele invalshoeken zorgt. Onklopbaar kan van het ene vakje naar het ander springen en kan op die manier tijdig ingrijpen wanneer zijn vijanden snode plannen smeden.

Een immersieve tentoonstelling voor jong en oud die je uitnodigt om te spelen met de codes van de strip.
