Sabina – Iuliana Oprea is an alumni of the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music Cluj -Romania (2015) and the Univesity of Arts – Sibelius Academy Helsinki – Finland (2018). Having studied under Daniel Goiti, Juhani Lagerspetz and Hui Ying Liu Tawaststjerna, Sabina Oprea holds nowadays an extensive career both teaching and performing abroad and in native Romania.
Having had her soloist debut at age 12, she continued to perform in Romania (Constanta, Bucuresti, Bacau, Botosani, Sibiu, Piatra Neamt), Finland (Helsinki), Belgium (Wavre), The Netherlands (Bergen, Alkmaar) and France (Nice, Paris, Brest); and attend masterclasses of Jean Claude Pennetier, Martin Hughes, Cristian Beldi, Christian Ivaldi, Robert Levin, Jay Gottlieb, and Claudio Martinez Mehner.
Sabina Oprea has been a resident of the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris as a recipient of the George Enescu scholarship of the Romanian Cultural Institute. Furthermore, she attended the cultural management workshop of Ioan Holender (former Director of the Wiener Staatsoper) and has been a member in the organizing committee of the Constanta International Competition-Festival for Young Pianists.
Currently, Sabina Oprea is the youngest teacher to hold an assistanship at the Piano Department of the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music from Cluj (Romania).
