Op quasi minimalistische wijze schept hij ruimtelijkheid met meestal spaarzaam aangebrachte motieven. Zijn schilderijen balanceren geregeld op het omslagpunt tussen abstractie en figuratie. Van ver kunnen ze er volkomen abstract uitzien en van dichtbij blijkt er toch een soort figuratie te zijn.
