Rally Legends - From Dust to Glory

With Thierry Neuville, Belgium now has its very first WRC world champion. Autoworld could not let such a historic event go unnoticed and is dedicating its first pop-up exhibition of 2025 to the spectacular world of the World Rally Championship (WRC).

Until February 28, Autoworld is counting down to the fire-spitting, gravel-slinging opening of the exhibition "Rally Legends – From Dust to Glory."
This thrilling journey through the WRC will feature a unique collection of championship-winning cars, legendary drivers and co-drivers, and countless big and small stories that have made the WRC such an incredible motorsport.
To kick off the event, Autoworld is hosting a spectacular "Rally Legends Preview Night featuring Thierry Neuville"on Friday, February 28 for the general public.
Thierry Neuville himself, along with his Hyundai i20 WRC, will be the star of this unforgettable opening night. A must-see event!
Thierry Neuville became Belgium’s first WRC world champion in 2024, alongside his co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe, but the WRC story dates back to 1973.
It all started with Alpine-Renault, who claimed the very first WRC title with the stunning A110. This is where the story begins, and as always, Autoworld will bring it to life with a unique and immersive scenography.
The legendary Alitalia Lancia Stratos, specially brought in from the Lancia Museum in Turin, will take over from the A110, alongside the iconic Lancia HF Delta Integrale, which dominated the WRC between 1987 and 1992.
Before that, the ‘old school’ Fiat 131 Abarth and Ford Escort RS1800 had to make way for the fire-breathing Group B monsters, such as the revolutionary Audi Quattro, the nimble Lancia 037, and the lightning-fast Peugeot 205 T16.
The exhibition wouldn’t be complete without the Japanese champions like the Toyota Celica, the GR Yaris, and the Subaru Impreza.
Nor will it forget the dominant ‘French’ years, marked by Peugeots and, above all, Citroëns, including Thierry Neuville’s DS3.
In short, "Rally Legends – From Dust to Glory" will offer a complete overview of what has made the WRC so legendary—from the paved Col de Turini to the snow-covered Margam, and the dust- and gravel-filled Ouninpohja, just to name a few iconic rally stages.
A must-see event for anyone who wants to experience the WRC like never before!

Avec Thierry Neuville, la Belgique compte désormais son tout premier champion du monde WRC. Autoworld ne pouvait laisser passer un tel événement historique et consacre ainsi sa première exposition pop-up de 2025 à l’univers spectaculaire du Championnat du Monde des Rallyes.

Thierry Neuville est entré dans l’histoire en devenant le premier champion du monde WRC belge en 2024, aux côtés de son copilote Martijn Wydaeghe, mais l’histoire du WRC remonte bien plus loin, à sa création en 1973.

C’est l’Alpine-Renault A110 qui a décroché le tout premier titre mondial, marquant le point de départ du récit que retracera Autoworld à travers une scénographie immersive et inédite. La mythique Lancia Stratos aux couleurs d'Alitalia, venue spécialement du musée Lancia à Turin, succédera à l’A110. Elle sera accompagnée de la légendaire Lancia HF Delta Integrale, qui a dominé le WRC entre 1987 et 1992. Avant cela, la Fiat 131 Abarth et la Ford Escort RS1800 avaient laissé place aux monstres du Groupe B, à l’image de l’Audi Quattro révolutionnaire, de l’agile Lancia 037 et de la redoutable Peugeot 205 T16.
L’exposition mettra également à l’honneur les champions japonais, avec la Toyota Celica, la GR Yaris et la Subaru Impreza, sans oublier l’ère de domination française incarnée par Peugeot et surtout Citroën, avec notamment la DS3 pilotée par Thierry Neuville.
En résumé, "Rally Legends – From Dust to Glory" offrira ainsi un panorama complet de la magie du WRC, des routes sinueuses du Col de Turini aux pistes enneigées de Margam, en passant par les tracés poussiéreux et rocailleux d'Ouninpohja, pour ne citer que quelques-unes des spéciales les plus mythiques du championnat.

Le 28 février, Autoworld ouvre officiellement l’exposition "Rally Legends – From Dust to Glory" avec une soirée preview nocturne exceptionnelle en présence de Thierry Neuville.
Cet événement exclusif et ouvert au grand public réunira non seulement les plus belles voitures de rallye, mais aussi les pilotes belges ayant marqué l'histoire du WRC. Le moment phare de la soirée sera sans aucun doute l'arrivée de Thierry Neuville, qui garera lui-même sa Hyundai i20 WRC dans le musée.
Les visiteurs auront l’opportunité unique de se rapprocher des voitures et d'échanger avec les pilotes. Pour agrémenter cette soirée, un bar et des food trucks seront à disposition. La collection permanente récemment rénovée et la boutique du musée resteront également accessibles.

En uiteraard is het wachten op Thierry Neuville die hoogstpersoonlijk z’n eigen Hyundai i20 WRC in het museum zal parkeren.

Als bezoeker zult u van dit alles kunnen genieten door je te mengen tussen de wagens en rallyrijders.
Er zal een bar en foodtrucks aanwezig zijn.
En uiteraard zijn die avond ook de vernieuwde permanente collectie en shop toegankelijk voor het publiek.
