In 2022, the director retraces her steps to the summit in order to understand better this remarkable woman. For 50 years, Marie-Louise Chapelle led a double life, spending six months a year with her family, and six months in the mountains. Retracing her journey in 1952 to the summit of Chaukhamba, the director asks how she managed to combine an unfathomable passion for the mountains with the daily chores of family life. An intimate story about a life full of contradictions, and a physical journey through a terrain of snow and ice.
