Description
DJ Stingray 313 is a pioneering figure in electronic music, known for exploring themes of science, technology, and their effects on humanity. His career began in 1987 with the group Nasa, and later he released solo work as Urban Tribe on Carl Craig's Planet E label. His 1998 album “The Collapse Of Modern Culture” became a collaboration with notable artists like Carl Craig and Moodymann. DJ Stingray is also closely associated with Drexciya, becoming their official touring DJ. Donning his emblematic balaclava, his cyborg-like DJ sets continue to leave audiences captivated globally for decades.
Berlin's DJ Spit is an emerging talent blending drum and bass, techno, and industrial sounds. His hybrid sets bridge bass, garage, and amen-infused breaks, showcased in his podcast project 'Explorers,' which highlights key figures in these genres. Spit's curations for Resident Advisor, Possession, and Pollerwiesen podcasts, along with sets for Lobster Theremin, Rinse FM France, and his residency at HÖR Berlin, have solidified his presence in the scene. Recent bookings include Berghain's Säule, Kyiv's ∄, and major festivals like Draaimolen and Pitch. In 2021, Spit launched Rascals Records and is set to further push boundaries with his upcoming label, Verteiler.
