For the 2025 edition of the Flagey Piano Days, we are bringing Canadian Mozart expert Angela Hewitt and her 'Mozart Odyssey' project to Brussels. Between March 2024 and December 2026, Hewitt will perform all of Mozart’s piano concertos worldwide with various orchestras and conductors. Together with the Brussels Philharmonic and Kazushi Ono, she will perform no fewer than three concertos over two concert evenings.

In Angela Hewitt’s hands, Mozart’s music transforms into liquid gold. For this concert, she has chosen his Piano Concerto No. 24, composed just before Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro, yet already infused with the elegance and dramatic character of opera, as well as the charming Piano Concerto No. 15, renowned for its breathtaking pace and the composer’s signature wit.

In between, Symphony No. 35 in D major, or the 'Haffner', holds onto that unmistakable Mozart energy, from a dramatic opening through a lyrical string section, all the way to its lightning-fast finale.

Pour l'édition 2025 des Flagey Piano Days, nous accueillons à Bruxelles l'experte canadienne de Mozart, Angela Hewitt, et son projet « Mozart Odyssey ». Entre mars 2024 et décembre 2026, Hewitt interprétera tous les concertos pour piano de Mozart à travers le monde, avec divers orchestres et chefs d'orchestre. Avec le Brussels Philharmonic et Kazushi Ono, elle interprétera pas moins de trois concertos lors de deux soirées de concert.

Sous les mains d'Angela Hewitt, la musique de Mozart se transforme en or liquide. Pour ce concert, elle a choisi son Concerto pour piano n° 24, composé juste avant Don Giovanni et Le Nozze di Figaro, mais déjà empreint de l'élégance et du caractère dramatique de l'opéra, ainsi que le charmant Concerto pour piano n° 15, réputé pour son rythme époustouflant et l'humour caractéristique du compositeur.

Entre les deux, la Symphonie n° 35 en ré majeur, dite « Haffner », conserve l'énergie inimitable de Mozart : d'une ouverture dramatique à une partie de cordes lyriques, jusqu'à sa finale fulgurante.

Voor de Flagey Piano Days editie 2025 halen we de Canadese Mozartexpert Angela Hewitt en haar 'Mozart Odyssey'-project naar Brussel. Wereldwijd voert Hewitt tussen maart '24 en december '26 alle pianoconcerti van Mozart uit, met verschillende orkesten en dirigenten - met Brussels Philharmonic en Kazushi Ono brengt ze maar liefst 3 concerti tijdens 2 concertavonden.

In handen van Angela Hewitt verandert Mozarts muziek in vloeibaar goud. Zij koos voor dit concert zijn Pianoconcert nr. 24, dat dateert van net vóór Don Giovanni en Le Nozze di Figaro maar toch al de sierlijkheid en het dramatische karakter van opera heeft, en het charmante Pianoconcert nr. 15 dat bekend staat om zijn adembenemende tempo en de kenmerkende humor van de componist.

Tussenin houdt de Symfonie nr. 35 in D of 'Haffner' de onmiskenbare Mozart-energie vast: van een dramatisch begin over een lyrisch strijkersdeel helemaal tot aan de razendsnelle finale.
