Like a visual elegy, My Memory Is Full of Ghosts explores a reality caught between past, present and future in Homs, Syria. Behind the self-portrait of a population in search of normality, emerge memories of the city, haunted by destruction and loss. A deeply moving film, a painful echo of the absurdity of war and the strength of human beings.

Director's Biography
A Palestinian filmmaker, editor, and independent producer, he resides in Syria. He graduated in interior design in 2009, attended several film training programs, and participated in the Beirut Talent Program in 2022.
He directed the short film “An Ordinary Day” in 2020, followed by the documentary “Summer, City, and a Camera” in 2022. Both films were selected for numerous festivals and won several awards. In 2024, his first feature-length documentary, “My Memory is Full of Ghosts,” premiered at the 55th Visions du Réel festival.
He also worked as a producer during the development of the documentary “House Number 7.” He is currently developing his short film “A Man Who Lived after the Battle” and producing “On the Edge of…”.

Telle une élégie visuelle, My Memory Is Full of Ghosts explore une réalité prise entre passé, présent et futur à Homs, en Syrie. Derrière l’autoportrait d’une population exsangue en quête de normalité, émergent les souvenirs d’une ville hantée par la destruction et la perte. Un film profondément émouvant, un écho douloureux de l’absurdité de la guerre et de la force de l’être humain.

Biographie du réalisateur
Réalisateur, monteur et producteur indépendant, né en 1987, Anas Zawahri est Palestinien et vit en Syrie. « My Memory is Full of Ghosts » est son premier long-métrage documentaire.
