Workshop early music and private concert Narratio Quartet

With the Monteverdi production I Grotteschi on the horizon, baroque music takes centre stage at La Monnaie this spring. The perfect time to explore together the roots of the art form opera. During a workshop, violinist and musicologist Dr Ann Cnop (UGent), researcher and early music specialist at Klara, will tell you all about historically informed performance and early instruments. Afterwards, you can enjoy a private concert by the Narratio Quartet. Before accompanying Silvia Tro Santafé in the recital Lamenti on 3 March, this renowned ensemble will treat you to an exciting Beethoven programme.

Atelier de musique ancienne et concert privé du Narratio Quartet

Avec I Grotteschi, notre diptyque consacré à Monteverdi, la Monnaie mettra la musique baroque à l’honneur ce printemps. Un moment idéal pour se plonger dans la genèse de l’art lyrique. Au cours d’un atelier bilingue, la violoniste et musicologue Dr Ann Cnop (UGent), chercheuse et spécialiste de la musique ancienne sur Klara, vous expliquera les principes d’interprétation authentique d’œuvres jouées sur des instruments anciens. Vous pourrez ensuite assister à un concert privé du Narratio Quartet, qui accompagnera Silvia Tro Santafé lors du récital Lamenti du 3 mars, centré sur Beethoven.

Met de Monteverdi-productie I Grotteschi in het verschiet treedt deze lente de barokmuziek op het voorplan in de Munt. Het ideale moment om samen even te graven naar de wortels van de kunstvorm opera. Violiste en musicologe Dr. Ann Cnop (UGent), als onderzoeker en specialist Oude Muziek verbonden aan Klara, praat je tijdens een workshop helemaal bij over de authentieke uitvoeringspraktijk en oude instrumenten. Nadien kan je genieten van een privéconcert door het Narratio Quartet, dat op 3 maart Silvia Tro Santafé begeleidt in het recital Lamenti, en je nu alvast trakteert op een intens Beethovenprogramma.
