Join the Cyphers of New Producers Academy and Rotterdam Writers Rooms to connect with film specialists and engage in inspiring discussions on various film topics. Through intimate, interactive sessions, you'll have the chance to sit down with experts, exchange ideas, and build valuable connections. End the evening with a drink and new insights. This time we welcome Tamara Shogaolu
Tamara Shogaolu, founder of Ado Ato Pictures, is an acclaimed director and new media artist known for innovative storytelling. Her work amplifies marginalized voices, focusing on migration, identity, and queer refugees in Europe, often inspired by personal connections and immersive technologies like VR.
Tip: Before her cypher, experience Anouschka, an animated mixed reality game where players guide a Surinamese-Javanese teenager through her identity journey after a racist incident, exploring her family history and Amsterdam's vibrant Bijlmer neighborhood.
