Fr - Depuis sa création en 1908, la société Olivetti s’est imposée par le
développement de produits mythiques comme ses machines à écrire, mais aussi par
sa relation étroite avec le monde de l’art. Durant près de trois décennies,
l’artiste belge, Jean-Michel Folon travaillera à de nombreuses reprises pour
Olivetti, livrant des affiches, des produits publicitaires, mais aussi nombre de
livres et de dessins animés d’une immense créativité. L’exposition Olivetti ·
Folon, en collaboration avec le Museo Civico Pier Alessandro Garda,
l’Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti et la Fondation Folon, présente la
riche collaboration artistique entre l’entreprise italienne de design Olivetti
et l’artiste Jean-Michel Folon.NL - Sinds de oprichting in 1908, heeft Olivetti
naam gemaakt met de ontwikkeling van legendarische producten zoals hun
schrijfmachines, maar ook door hun hechte relatie met de kunstwereld. Bijna drie
decennia lang werkte de Belgische kunstenaar Jean-Michel Folon voor Olivetti.
Hij produceerde posters en reclameproducten, maar ook een aantal uiterst
creatieve boeken en cartoons. De Olivetti · Folon tentoonstelling, in
samenwerking met het Museo Civico Pier Alessandro Garda, de Associazione
Archivio Storico Olivetti en de Fondation Folon, presenteert de rijke artistieke
samenwerking tussen het Italiaanse designbedrijf Olivetti en de kunstenaar
Jean-Michel Folon.EN - Since its founding in 1908, Olivetti has made a name for
itself through the development of legendary products such as its typewriters,
but also through its close relationship with the world of art. Belgian artist
Jean-Michel Folon worked for Olivetti on numerous occasions over a period of
almost three decades, producing posters and advertising products, as well as a
number of immensely creative books and cartoons. The Olivetti · Folon
exhibition, in collaboration with the Museo Civico Pier Alessandro Garda, the
Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti and the Fondation Folon, presents the
rich artistic collaboration between the Italian design company Olivetti and the
artist Jean-Michel Folon.

From 25 April to 5 May, Brussels will be all about contemporary jewellery! For
its second edition, the Brussels Jewellery Week brings together established and
emerging artists, collectors and an international audience.
Brussels Jewellery Week aims to highlight contemporary jewellery as a creative
and innovative craft. In addition to the main exhibition at MAD Brussels, tours,
lectures and workshops will be organised at various locations around the city.
PARTICLE[S]
In physics, "elementary particles" are the smallest elements that form the
matter and forces of the universe: in constant motion, these small entities are
capable, by fusion, of forming large ensembles, thus forming the basis of all
creation and transformation. In grammar, a particle is a small unchanging
element: fixed, unassuming, it inflects the meaning of a word by connecting with
it.
The concept of PARTICLE[S] can be approached from a purely scientific or
technical standpoint. But it can also be seen, in a world threatened by
pollution, as a metaphor for many human interactions that ultimately form a
critical mass. In the world of contemporary jewelry, we see that each material
consists of the same tiny particles that together, in subtle arrangements, form
a work of art.

Du 25 avril au 5 mai, Bruxelles se met à l'heure du bijou contemporain ! La
capitale européenne réunit des artistes établis et émergents, des
collectionneurs et un public international pour la deuxième édition de la
Brussels Jewellery Week. Pour rappel, la première édition a eu lieu en 2022,
avec l'exposition principale "In Fieri" au MAD Brussels.
La Brussels Jewellery Week vise à mettre en valeur le bijou contemporain en tant
qu'artisanat créatif et innovant. En plus de l'exposition principale au MAD
Brussels, des visites guidées, des conférences et des ateliers seront organisés
à travers toute la ville.
PARTICLE[S]
En physique, les "particules élémentaires" sont les plus petits éléments qui
forment la matière et les forces de l'univers : en mouvement constant, ces
petites entités sont capables, par fusion, de former de grands ensembles, à la
base de toute création et transformation. En grammaire, une particule est un
petit élément immuable : fixe, discrète, elle infléchit le sens d'un mot en se
liant à lui.
Le concept de PARTICULE[S] peut être abordé d'un point de vue purement
scientifique ou technique. Mais il peut aussi être envisagé, dans un monde
menacé par la pollution, comme une métaphore des nombreuses interactions
humaines qui finissent par former une masse critique. Dans l'univers de la
joaillerie contemporaine, on constate que chaque matériau est constitué des
mêmes minuscules particules qui, ensemble, dans des arrangements subtils,
forment une œuvre d'art.

Van 25 april tot 5 mei staat Brussel in het teken van hedendaagse juwelen! Voor
haar tweede editie brengt de Brussels Jewellery Week gevestigde en opkomende
kunstenaars, verzamelaars en een internationaal publiek samen.
De Brussels Jewellery Week wil hedendaagse juwelen onder de aandacht brengen als
een creatieve en innovatieve ambacht. Naast de hoofdtentoonstelling bij MAD
Brussels worden er rondleidingen, lezingen en workshops georganiseerd op
verschillende locaties in de stad.
PARTICLE[S]
In de fysica zijn 'elementaire deeltjes' de kleinste elementen waaruit de
materie en de krachten van het universum bestaan: in voortdurende beweging zijn
deze kleine lichamen in staat om, door samensmelting, grote ensembles te vormen
en zo de basis te vormen van alle schepping en transformatie. In de grammatica
is een deeltje een klein onveranderlijk element: vast, bescheiden, het verbuigt
de betekenis van een woord door zich ermee te verbinden.
Het begrip PARTICLE[S] kan benaderd worden vanuit een puur wetenschappelijk of
technisch standpunt. Maar het kan ook gezien worden, in een wereld die bedreigd
wordt door vervuiling, als een metafoor voor vele menselijke interacties die
uiteindelijk een kritische massa vormen. In de wereld van de hedendaagse juwelen
zien we dat elk materiaal bestaat uit dezelfde kleine deeltjes die samen, in
subtiele ordeningen, een kunstwerk vormen.

Gazon is a summer bar in the beautiful garden of the Kristallijn ice rink in
Ghent. Sink down into the pillows with a cocktail, find peace and quiet under
the trees or have a drink near the pond. Sun lovers can enjoy the sunshine in

adapt to the demands of dance costume? To what extent do fashion and dance
inspire each other? Dance and movement have always influenced fashion. For the
exhibition Fashion Moves, MAD Brussels explores the interaction between the two
worlds. From breathtaking creations dedicated to the stage to the latest trends
emerging through social media, especially the influence of ballet and techno, or
creations inspired by clubs and nightlife. Numerous creations and trends are
reviewed in four different chapters.
The exhibition features the work of many renowned names such as Raf Simons,
Glenn Martens, Marine Serre and Walter Van Beirendonck as well as emerging
talents like Igor Dieryck, Marie Vandewiele, Stefan Kartchev, Jordy Arthur and
many more.

de mode s'adapte-t-il/elle aux exigences du costume de scène? Dans quelle mesure
la mode et la danse s'inspirent-elles mutuellement ? La danse et le mouvement
ont toujours influencé la mode. Pour l'exposition Fashion Moves, MAD Brussels
explore l'interaction entre ces deux mondes. Des créations époustouflantes
dédiées à la scène aux dernières tendances émergentes des réseaux sociaux, en
particulier l'influence du ballet et de la techno, ou des créations inspirées
par les clubs et la vie nocturne. De nombreuses créations et tendances sont
passées en revue dans quatre chapitres différents.
L'exposition présente le travail de grands noms tels que Raf Simons, Glenn
Martens, Marine Serre et Walter Van Beirendonck, ainsi que des talents émergents

The name Jules François Crahay may not ring a bell, and yet... This Belgian is
‘one of the last geniuses of couture’. For the first time, and thanks to
original research, the museum is devoting an exhibition to him. An opportunity
to discover or rediscover this unfairly forgotten couturier.
Jules François Crahay began his career in Liège before making his mark in the
Parisian world of haute couture. In 1959, his first collection for the Nina
Ricci fashion house triggered a wave of praise and orders. The press compared
him to Christian Dior...

Jules François Crahay, ce nom ne vous évoque peut-être pas grand-chose et
pourtant ! Ce Belge est l’un des derniers génies de la couture. Pour la première
fois et grâce à des recherches inédites, le musée lui consacre une exposition.
L’occasion de découvrir ou redécouvrir ce couturier injustement oublié.
Une nouvelle étoile se lève dans le ciel de la mode parisienne, écrit le
journaliste John Fairchild dans le Women’s Wear Daily en 1959. Jules François
Crahay vient de signer sa première collection pour la maison Nina Ricci. Elle
déclenche une pluie d’éloges et de commandes. La presse le compare à Christian
Dior. Les collections suivantes le confirment comme un maître de la couture.

couture". Dankzij nieuw onderzoek kan het museum nu voor het eerst een

vergeten couturier te (her)ontdekken.
Jules François Crahay begint zijn carrière in Luik en maakt vervolgens naam in
de wereld van de Parijse haute couture. In 1959 wordt zijn eerste collectie voor
