New directions in music! The original unit of the trio can already count on many years of sessioning and playing together. Jordi's compositions, originals -mostly by Monk and Ornette Coleman- standards, free impro, the band's repertoire is quite broad, always adapting to the vibe and to the acoustic space of venues. To spice things up, I (as Jordi the leader)/we are delighted to invite another partner-in-crime, the talented Lynn Cassiers, who will add her pristine voice and spaced-out electronic set to the mix!
Nautilus is four musicians embarking on a vessel exploring their inner self. The music reflects certain conditions or feelings one might encounter in their life. A personal interpretation of such emotions or struggles.  Life is unpredictable, we all must face what's coming our way, good or bad.  The Nautilus imagined by Jules Verne is an image to explore and escape within the wonders of the inner self.
After successful past years with more than 120 concerts throughout China and Europe, three critically acclaimed albums and a highly praised showcase at Jazzahead 2023; AVA Trio sets sail back in time in the Mediterranean. Their fourth album "The Great Green" released on March 8, 2024 on Tora Records - takes us to Ancient Greece; an era in which the colour "blue" did not exist. AVA Trio stretches the boundaries of jazz, improvised and maqam music, creating a unique approach we define as "Mediterranean Avantgarde".

Erwin Vann Trio feat. Michel Hatzigeorgiou and Dré Pallemaerts The Erwin Vann Trio traces its origins back to 1989. Over the years, they performed on numerous stages in Belgium and abroad. Their collaboration has yielded the albums ‘Some Sounds’ (1990) and ‘Eleven’ (1995). Their live performance will feature a selection of original compositions, offering a nostalgic glimpse into their musical journey. This is a rare opportunity to witness the synergy of these three master musicians.
“Courage for the edge and the non-lovely in the intensity-filled performance of the trio and its excellent interplay”  - Roland Spiegel, Bavarian public radio (BR) “This is what the future of German Jazz looks like.”  - Oliver Hochkeppel, South German public newspaper (SZ) “Their confident playing with melodic finesse and rustic violence both, won the band several prices” - Uli Lemke, JazzThing
Gaspard and André met in the United States working together in the band Fievel is Glauque. They became good pals and now André came down to visit.  They will play some of their tunes alongside the French pianist Lara Humbert and the French bass player Jim Monneau.
“Forest3io ” is the result of the meeting of three extremely active musicians on the European jazz scene. Lieven Venken, an inspired drummer of great musicality, perfected his art in the United States for nearly 20 years, notably alongside the master Billy Hart. Jeroen Van Herzeele, a saxophonist with a powerful and lyrical sound, masters his instrument perfectly, moving the listener to the depths of his soul. Géraud Portal, a double bassist who built his reputation alongside Jacky Terrasson's trio, and more recently alongside the American saxophone legend Gary Bartz. Forest3io creates unique music, composed of original pieces and rearrangements of standards, with each performance."
For this ensemble one body of work has been created thus far called Embracing Asymmetry which will be recorded in December 2023. The work focuses on the transitional process of improvising between two sound objects. Here the performer is improvising variations of a composed object whilst simultaneously seeking to slowly introduce a new composed element. A photogram is photographic technique that produces a negative shadow image. The transformation of a real object into a shadow is analogous to the transformation from a composed sound object into an improvised variation. Embracing Asymmetry also explores post-colonial identity through the intersection of reality, delusion and the incomprehensible.
MOTIAN LOVE is a brand new quintet that plays compositions by Paul Motian. The band will soon record an album. Come catch them live before their sound will be captured for the eternity!
