Description

The story of trust and its absence against the background of events unfolding in Eastern Ukraine in early 2014. The main topic is revealed through the prism of the Luhansk border base, whose fighters the separatists and Russian special services tried unsuccessfully force to betray their country.

The film directed by Akhtem Seitablaev, well-known Ukrainian film director of Crimean Tatar origin. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Ahtem joined the territorial defense forces and now defends Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Nous ferons fréquemment des bonds en avant pour montrer comment les œuvres marquantes de cette période ont inspiré des classiques du film criminel comme Bonnie and Clyde, Il était une fois en Amérique, La nuit nous appartient, Dirty Harry, Le Parrain… L'esprit du New Deal au cinéma Après l’élection de Franklin D.Roosevelt, l’abolition de la Prohibition et la mise en place du New Deal, des films réformistes sont mis en chantier qui analysent les responsabilités de la société en matière de criminalité. I’m a Fugitive from a Chain Gang de Mervyn LeRoy avait devancé ce courant en 1932 en dénonçant l’inhumanité du système pénitentiaire. La figure du gangster flamboyant façon Scarface disparaît… momentanément. Un signe qui ne trompe pas : on ose même la parodie, comme dans A Slight Case of Murder où Robinson incarne un ex-trafiquant tentant, vaille que vaille, de rentrer dans le droit chemin

The film Riddles of the Sphinx by Mulvey and co-director Peter Wollen explores the position of women in patriarchal society. Consisting of three parts and 13 chapters, the film draws inspiration from psychoanalysis in its deconstruction of the conventional narrative structures used in traditional media. The visually accomplished and intellectually rigorous Riddles of the Sphinx is seen as one of the most important avant-garde films to have emerged from Britain during the 1970s. The film’s ground-breaking electronic score, by Soft Machine’s Mike Ratledge, was composed on synthesisers which were developed in collaboration with Denys Irving (the man behind the mysterious and controversial 1970s band Lucifer). ********** Français ********** Ce film sera projeté extra muros à la Cinematek.
