Les photos vernaculaires de Roumanie présentées en contre-champ au travail de Cristina Epure à la Tiny Gallery sont issues des collections anciennes du Musée Astra à Sibiu. Le musée ASTRA est l'un des musées publics les plus dynamiques de Roumanie en matière de préservation et de promotion active du patrimoine culturel matériel et immatériel à valeur ethnographique. Témoignages photographiques d’une civilisation rurale, les images sont le miroir du rapport de l’homme souvent seul face à son espace souvent immense. Les tirages contemporains réalisés par la technique ancienne du papier salé inscrivent les photographies dans une permanence de la matière.

De lokale foto's van Roemenië die als tegenhanger van het werk van Cristina Epure in de Tiny Gallery worden gepresenteerd, zijn afkomstig uit de oude collecties van het Astra Museum in Sibiu. Het ASTRA-museum is een van de meest dynamische openbare musea in Roemenië wat betreft het behoud en de actieve promotie van materieel en immaterieel cultureel erfgoed van etnografische waarde. Fotografische getuigenissen van een landelijke beschaving, de beelden zijn de spiegel van de relatie van de mens , vaak alleen voor zijn vaak immense ruimte. De hedendaagse prints geproduceerd door de oude techniek van gezouten papier schrijven de foto's in een permanentie van het materiaal .

The vernacular photos of Romania presented as a counter-shot to the work of Cristina Epure at the Tiny Gallery come from the old collections of the Astra Museum in Sibiu. The ASTRA Museum is one of the most dynamic public museums in Romania in terms of the preservation and active promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of ethnographic value.
