Il y a tout juste dix ans, la formation belge d’éthiojazz Black Flower signa son premier album, Abysinnia Afterlife, sur le label brugeois W.E.R.F. records. L’opus jeta un pavé dans la marre et participa à l’émergence d’une “new wave of Belgian jazz”.Depuis ce disque emblématique, le groupe a explosé et compte aujourd’hui cinq LP à son actif. Il s’est forgé une réputation internationale avec, dans sa fan base, des sommités à la Gilles Peterson (gourou de BBC Radio) et The Gaslamp Killer. Au printemps 2025, Black Flower sortira un nouvel album et notre curiosité est à son comble.Citons donc, pour apaiser notre impatience, Louder Than War à propos de leur opus précédent.
