Pat Metheny: Dream Box/MoonDial Tour

A man who needs no introduction: the guitarist Pat Metheny has been a household name in international jazz for almost fifty years. The winner of many (20!) Grammy Awards has played with artists including Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman and David Bowie in the course of his rich career. However, Metheny will perform his intimate project Dream Box/MoonDial solo in our large auditorium. The great master will combine his own work and jazz standards, as he did in his 2023 album of the same name. Dream Box brings together numbers that Metheny had stored for many years in a forgotten folder on his computer. Only during his recent tour – with 160 concerts worldwide – did he return to them. This is as close to the man and his dreams as you have ever been.

Een man die geen introductie nodig heeft. Gitarist Pat Metheny is al bijna vijftig jaar onmisbaar in de internationale jazzwereld. De veelvuldige (20!) Grammy Award winnaar speelde tijdens zijn rijke carrière met artiesten als Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman en David Bowie. In onze grote zaal staat Metheny er echter solo in een intieme setting met het project Dream Box/MoonDial.  Net als op het gelijknamige album uit 2023 combineert de grootmeester eigen werk en jazz standards. Dream Box bundelt nummers die Metheny lange tijd in een vergeten map op zijn computer had bewaard. Pas tijdens zijn recente tournee – 160 concerten wereldwijd – kregen ze terug zijn aandacht. Dichter bij de man en zijn dromen kwam je nog nooit.

Un homme qui n'a plus besoin d'être présenté. Le guitariste Pat Metheny est incontournable dans le monde du jazz international depuis près de 50 ans. Au cours de sa riche carrière, ce lauréat de plusieurs Grammy Awards (20 !) a joué avec des artistes tels que Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman et David Bowie. Dans notre grande salle, Metheny montera cependant sur scène en solo avec le projet intime Dream Box/MoonDial.  Comme sur l'album éponyme de 2023, le grand maître y combine ses propres œuvres et des standards de jazz. Dream Box compile des chansons que Metheny a longtemps conservées dans un dossier oublié de son ordinateur. Ce n'est qu'au cours de sa récente tournée – 160 concerts dans le monde entier – qu’elles ont réveillé son attention. Bref, ce concert vous rapprochera plus que jamais de l'homme et de ses rêves.
