Proiezione del film "Familia" di Francesco Costabile

La rassegna “Venezia a Bruxelles – I film del festival all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura” giunge alla sua seconda tappa con il film Familia di Francesco Costabile, ispirato al libro Non sarà sempre così di Luigi Celeste.

Luigi Celeste ha vent’anni e vive con sua madre Licia e suo fratello Alessandro, i tre sono uniti da un legame profondo e sofferto. Sono quasi dieci anni che nessuno di loro vede Franco, compagno e padre, che ha reso l’infanzia dei due ragazzi e la giovinezza di Licia un ricordo fatto di paura e prevaricazione.

Luigi vive la strada e, alla ricerca di un senso di appartenenza e di identità, si unisce a un gruppo di estrema destra dove respira ancora rabbia e sopraffazione.

Un giorno Franco torna, rivuole i suoi figli, rivuole la sua famiglia, ma è un uomo che avvelena tutto ciò che tocca e rende chi ama prigioniero della sua ombra.

The review “Venice in Brussels - The festival films at the Italian Cultural Institute” reaches its second stage with the film Familia by Francesco Costabile, inspired by the book Non sarà sempre così by Luigi Celeste.

Luigi Celeste is twenty yeas old and lives with her mother Licia and brother Alessandro; the three are united by a deep and long-suffering bond. It has been almost ten years since any of them has seen Franco, their partner and father, who made the two boys' childhood and Licia's youth a memory of fear and prevarication.

Luigi lives the street and, in search of a sense of belonging and identity, joins a far-right group where he still breathes anger and oppression.

One day Franco returns, he wants his children back, he wants his family back, but he is a man who poisons everything he touches and makes those he loves prisoners of his shadow.
