Join us for a fun and cosy Sunday afternoon in the heart of Utrecht!

Mad Cow Comedy hosts an afternoon of stand-up comedy performed by various international acts, all performing in English. Utrecht-based comedian, Rachel Morton-Young, introduces a different mix of comedians every 2 weeks, so no two shows are ever the same.

Kartoffel:

Our show now takes place in the Biergarten at Kartoffel, a German-themed restaurant along the historic Oudegracht (only a 10 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station). The venue has great, affordable food, so considering coming early for lunch, or staying for a bite after the show.

Line-up 12th January:

Rachel Morton-Young (Host): Award-winning British comedian Rachel brings warmth, wit, and hilarity to the stage, sharing her chaotic yet charming life as an expat Mum in the Netherlands. Rachel is a regular on the in the English-speaking comedy scene in the Netherlands and the owner of Mad Cow Comedy.

Barney Rivera: A Mexican-American comedy powerhouse, Barney brings his unique Latino perspective to stages worldwide, having performed in 20+ countries and on platforms like CBS’s The Late Late Show, TEDx, and the Netflix is a Joke festival. A favourite for his global reach and huge laugh payoff, he’s also toured with top comedians and entertained troops internationally.

Lupe Estrada is an Amsterdam-based absurdist comedian with roots in San Francisco and Los Angeles. A regular at Boom Chicago and co-founder of Captive Audience Comedy, Lupe’s unique voice lights up the city’s vibrant comedy scene.

Davey Geernaert is a high-energy, queer comedian blending dark humor with sharp insights about his life, family, and the modern world. Performing in both English and Dutch, he’s part of the Comedyhuis Talentpool and brings a theatrical flair to every performance.

Phil Nichol is an award-winning comedian and actor with a fearless, boundary-pushing style. From headlining global festivals like Just for Laughs to starring in hit shows like Catastrophe and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Phil’s sharp wit and magnetic presence captivate audiences worldwide.
