Description
Renowned instrument builder and cartoonist Yuri Landman is coming to Brussels with a collection of his musical instruments. Landman began his career as a guitar maker by building stringed instruments for Sonic Youth. Since then, he has travelled the world for workshops and concerts with his electric string instruments that work with resonance, overtones, and natural tuning. During the workshop, you can try his instruments for yourself and also make your own kalimba. A fine afternoon at Bozar for young and old around experimental music and sound art.
This free Bozar Sunday workshop runs from 11am unitl 6pm and is organised within the context of Ictus – The Sonic Assistant Agency at 3pm.

Le célèbre luthier et dessinateur de bandes dessinées Yuri Landman expose une collection de ses instruments de musique à Bruxelles. Il a commencé sa carrière en fabriquant des instruments à cordes pour Sonic Youth. Depuis, il parcourt le monde dans le cadre d’ateliers et de concerts mettant en scène ses instruments à cordes électriques qui travaillent sur la résonance, les harmoniques et le natural tuning. Au cours d’un atelier, le dimanche à Bozar, vous pourrez essayer ses instruments et fabriquer votre propre kalimba. Un bel après-midi à Bozar pour petits et grands autour de la musique expérimentale et de l’art sonore !
Cet atelier gratuit, organisé par Bozar, se déroule de 11h à 18h et s’inscrit dans le cadre du concert d’Ictus – The Sonic Assistent Agency à 11h.

De bekende instrumentbouwer en striptekenaar Yuri Landman komt naar Brussel met een verzameling van zijn muziekinstrumenten. Landman begon zijn carrière als gitaarbouwer voor Sonic Youth. Sindsdien reist hij de wereld rond voor concerten en workshops met zijn elektrische snaarinstrumenten met bijzondere aandacht voor resonantie, boventonen en natural tuning. Tijdens de workshop kun je zijn instrumenten zelf uitproberen en maak je ook zelf een kalimba. Een fijne middag in Bozar voor jong en oud rond experimentele muziek en geluidskunst.
Deze gratis Bozar Sunday Workshop loopt van 11 tot 18 uur en sluit aan bij het concert van Ictus – The Sonic Assistent Agency om 15 uur.
