Sofa Session#3 Sensualité, avec Gabriel Massan

Dans le cadre de la Sofa Session #3, Bozar invite Gabriel Massan et Ophélie Mac à participer à une discussion inspirée par l'exposition When We See Us, en explorant le thème de la sensualité en lien avec leurs pratiques artistiques. Dans le chapitre Sensualité de l'exposition When We See Us, les corps noirs sont représentés de manière intime et affirmée, remettant en question les représentations historiques imposées par le canon artistique occidental.
Gabriel Massan présente Third World : The Bottom Dimension à Bozar, un jeu vidéo qui questionne la représentation de soi et la manière dont nous percevons le monde, en imaginant des réalités alternatives.

Gabriel Massan en Ophélie Mac schuiven aan voor Sofa Session #3 en duiken in de tentoonstelling When We See Us  om het thema Sensualiteit te verkennen in relatie tot hun artistieke praktijk. Dit hoofdstuk van de tentoonstelling toont zwarte lichamen op een intieme en krachtige manier, als tegengewicht voor beperkende representaties die worden opgelegd door de westerse artistieke canon. 
Gabriel Massan presenteert Third World: The Bottom Dimension in Bozar, een videospel dat zelfrepresentatie en ons begrip van de wereld bevraagt door alternatieve werkelijkheden te verbeelden.

As part of Sofa Session #3, Bozar invites Gabriel Massan and Ophélie Mac to engage in a discussion inspired by the exhibition When We See Us and to explore the theme of Sensuality in connection with their artistic practices. In the Sensuality chapter of When We See Us, Black bodies are depicted in intimate, self-assured ways challenging restrictive representations imposed by the Western artistic canon.
Gabriel Massan presents Third World: The Bottom Dimension at Bozar, a video game that questions self-representation and our understanding of the world, by imagining alternative realities.
