GAIKO album release party + Basile3

On his eponymous debut album, GAIKO explores his own feelings and the musical influences they resonate with. These range from indie and downtempo to techno and drum & bass, with IDM (think Burial) as a melancholic thread running through the two tracks you can listen to already. Together with director Alexander Wolfgang, GAIKO has developed an audiovisual show that leans into the mechanics of theatre and film to welcome you into his artistic universe. Larpie on the visuals and Marie Malingreau's scenography complete the evening.

GAIKO is a producer and DJ from Brussels. He grew up in a musical family to the sounds of jazz, played piano as a child and eventually found his way to electronic production through his eager appetite for experimentation. While Burial is an important source of inspiration, Brussels’ parties such as HE4RTBROKEN, Slagwerk or PERRON ZES also proved pivotal, with their screwed pop sensibilities and fierce club selections. GAIKO's first work appeared in 2020 under the moniker of tsugi, with his 'Dreamstate EP', winning him Most Promising Artist at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards. Since then, you can regularly catch GAIKO on Gimic and Kiosk radio, both under his own name and as a member of the Gloom Club crew.
In May 2025, the trailblazing Rotterdam label Nous'klaer Audio will release his debut album — and tonight you can already enjoy a double dose of listening-viewing-dancing discoveries at you-know-whereschouwburg

GAIKO est un producteur et DJ bruxellois. Élevé dans une famille mélomane bercée par le jazz, il a commencé par le piano avant de se tourner vers la production électronique, poussé par son insatiable curiosité pour l'expérimentation. Inspiré par Burial, GAIKO a également été marqué par la scène clubbing bruxelloise, lors de soirées comme HE4RTBROKEN, Slagwerk ou PERRON ZES. En 2020, il a sorti sa première musique, l’EP Dreamstate sous le nom de tsugi, et a remporté le prix de Most Promising Artist aux Red Bull Elektropedia Awards. Depuis, GAIKO est régulièrement à l’écoute sur Gimic et Kiosk Radio, sous son propre nom ou en tant que membre du collectif Gloom Club.

En mai 2025, son premier album sortira sur le label rotterdamois Nous'klaer Audio — et ce soir, vous pouvez déjà venir l’écouter, le voir et le danser en avant-première à la tsbienschouwburg

GAIKO is een Brusselse producer en dj. Hij groeide op in een muzikale familie op de klanken van jazz, speelde als kind piano en vond uiteindelijk zijn weg naar elektronische productie om zijn honger naar experiment mee bot te vieren. Met Burial als grote bron van inspiratie werd GAIKO ook gevormd in de clubbing scene van Brussel, op avonden van HE4RTBROKEN, Slagwerk of PERRON ZES. In 2020 verscheen zijn eerste muziek, de Dreamstate EP onder naam van tsugi, en won hij meteen Most Promising Artist op de Red Bull Elektropedia Awards. Sindsdien kan je GAIKO regelmatig horen op Gimic en Kiosk radio, onder eigen naam én als lid van de Gloom Club crew.

In mei 2025 brengt het piekfijne Rotterdamse label Nous'klaer Audio zijn debuutplaat uit – maar vanavond kan je die dus al dubbel en dik komen beluisteren, bekijken en bedansen in Beursschouwburg joepieeeeee!

Basile3 weet in zijn producties, composities en mixes steeds weer een nieuwe, nog onontdekte balans te bereiken tussen veiligheid en avontuur. Hij laat zijn publieken thuiskomen in een universum waar R’n’B, pop, elektronica, glitch, ambient synths en club sounds samenvloeien – organisch en artificieel tegelijk. Daarvan getuigt ook zijn plaat 43°C, die in 2024 uitkwam bij Frans label InFiné en aanvoelt als de filmsoundtrack voor een euforische droom in een steeds heter wordende wereld.
Het is niet de eerste keer dat Basile3 in beursschouwburg speelt, maar wel de eerste keer dat hij de gouden zaal opent. Welkom (terug) !
