Synopsis

“What kind of love do you have for him?”

Haunted by loss and war, veteran Serhiy battles to reconnect with his wife, Nadiia, and their three sons. The film unexpectedly shifts when he turns the camera on the director, creating a space for a vulnerable dialogue about love and human relationships. The trust and empathy between the protagonist and filmmaker convey the emotional toll of war, as well as the healing potential of storytelling and documentary filmmaking.

Director's Biography

Lesia Diak is a Ukrainian film director and producer, who lives and works between Lisbon and Kyiv. Selected by international film festivals, her short films explore genuine human bonds, inner conflict, trauma and healing. This is her debut feature-length film.

Synopsis

“Quel genre d’amour as-tu pour lui ?”

Hanté par la perte et la guerre, le vétéran Serhiy lutte pour renouer avec sa femme Nadiia et leurs trois fils. Le film prend un tournant inattendu lorsqu’il se tourne vers la réalisatrice, créant un dialogue vulnérable sur l’amour et les relations humaines. La confiance et l’empathie entre le protagoniste et la réalisatrice témoignent de l’impact émotionnel de la guerre et du potentiel thérapeutique du documentaire.
