Screening of three shorts, presented by the teams:

La Neige aux Pieds - Soleysa Taleb and Elsa Audevart
Synopsis: This is the story of a journey on the rails through the Polish landscapes where we meet Ayoub, a Moroccan musician and his friends. As they explore themes of rhythm, identity and belonging, the film speaks of music creating bonds, even far from home.

Do you hear the wind in the pine trees ? - Axelle Lenaerts
Synopsis: A young Belgian woman returns to Japan to gain insight and find peace in her past relationship with her Japanese ex-lover. She travels around Japan, observing nature as the seasons change. She is guided by the richness of the Japanese vocabulary, which has many words to describe the transience of nature and emotions that have no equivalent in Dutch or English. If she can accept this transience, she will be able to understand what happened to their love.

The Wiels Marsh - Charlotte Pion, Martine Janssens, Christine Flasschoen, Aurore Woller, Marie Fontaine, Catherine Le Goff and Claire Poinas
Synopsis: The Wiels Marsh, located in Brussels, hosts a body of water that is crucial for numerous species of birds, amphibians, and insects, as well as adapted vegetation that has allowed local biodiversity to thrive. In this animated documentary, several speakers voice their support for this unique place. The directors trace the history of this natural sanctuary, constantly threatened by real estate projects, and highlight the work of the volunteers who ensure its daily upkeep.

La Neige aux Pieds - Soleysa Taleb et Elsa Audevart
Synopsis : C’est l’histoire d’un voyage sur les rails parcourant les paysages polonais où l’on rencontre Ayoub, un musicien marocain et ses amis. Alors qu’il sillonnent les thèmes du rythme, de l’identité et du sentiment d’appartenance, le film nous parle de la façon dont la musique crée des liens profonds, même loin de chez soi.

Synopsis : Une jeune Belge retourne au Japon pour comprendre et trouver la paix avec sa relation passée et son ex-amant japonais. Elle voyage à travers le Japon, observant la nature au fil des saisons. Elle est guidée par la richesse du vocabulaire japonais, qui possède de nombreux mots pour décrire l’éphémère de la nature et des émotions qui n’ont pas d’équivalent en néerlandais ou en anglais. Si elle parvient à accepter cette impermanence, elle pourra comprendre ce qui est arrivé à leur amour.

Synopsis : Le Marais Wiels, situé à Bruxelles, abrite un plan d’eau crucial pour de nombreuses espèces d’oiseaux, d’amphibiens et d’insectes, ainsi qu’une végétation adaptée qui a permis à la biodiversité locale de prospérer. Dans ce documentaire animé, plusieurs intervenants prennent la parole pour défendre ce lieu unique. Les réalisatrices retracent l’histoire de cet écrin de nature, constamment menacé par des projets immobiliers, et mettent en lumière le travail des bénévoles qui en assurent l’entretien quotidien.
