Linea Aspera- Luminance

Linea Aspera est composé des synthés et des programmes de Ryan Ambridge, ainsi que des voix d'Alison Lewis, alias Zanias. Ils se sont rencontrés en 2011 à Londres, unis par leur passion commune pour le coldwave, le minimal synth et la musique électronique corporelle, ainsi que par leur collection de synthétiseurs analogiques vintage.

Luminance
Luminance est le projet solo du musicien et producteur Belgo-Français Dea Hydra, lancé en 2012 à Bruxelles. Ancien membre de Soror Dolorosa et membre actuel d’Emptiness, Dea a longtemps exploré le goth rock et le metal avant de s’orienter vers des territoires plus personnels, entre dark wave et synthpop. Ses compositions, teintées de mélancolie, créent des atmosphères sombres et émotionnelles, tout en laissant transparaître des éclats de lumière.

Leur émergence fut rapide et de là est né un album éponyme qui est sorti en 2012 chez Dark Entries Records. Après une pause de sept ans, Linea Aspera est revenu en 2019 avec une tournée et un deuxième album, qu'ils ont auto-produit et publié en septembre 2020.

Linea Aspera comprises of the synths & programming of Ryan Ambridge and the vocals of Alison Lewis aka Zanias. First drawn together in 2011 in London through a shared passion for coldwave, minimal synth and electronic body music and a collection of vintage analogue synthesisers, their emergence was swift, and their debut album was released on Dark Entries Records in 2012. After a 7 year hiatus Linea Aspera returned in 2019 with a small tour and second full-length LP, which was self-released in September 2020.


Luminance
LUMINANCE is het soloproject dat in 2023 opgericht werd in Brussel door de Belgisch-Franse muzikant Dea Hydra. ((((((Als voormalige lid van Soror Dolorosa en huidig lid van Emptiness, is Dea lange tijd betrokken geweest bij de goth rock en metal scene voordat hij een meer persoonlijke weg ontwikkelde naar dark wave en synthpop gebieden. Zijn liefde voor geluiden en machines bracht hem er ook toe om als sessiemuzikant samen te werken met Position Parallèle en Sylvaine. Na een reeks releases bij labels als Weyrd Son records, Artoffact Records of Medical Records, toerde hij uitgebreid in Europa en tot in Libanon en Rusland.))))))))

Ondanks wortels die in de donkerste en doornigste bossen duiken, streeft de muziek van Luminance er altijd naar om stralen van pure emotie door haar stormachtige en dreigende lucht te laten schijnen. De bitterzoete melancholie van zijn composities kristalliseert in explosies van kleur en verfijnde geluidstexturen die van elk nummer een ware reis maken die de soundtrack van een fantasie-epos waardig is. Zijn gevoeligheid en vaardigheden maken hem tot een regelmatige medewerker, via zijn ‘Les Jardins de Verre’ studio’s, als mastering engineer en producer voor Objetrouvé, Tonn of Kernkrach labels, evenals voor verschillende bands en projecten.

LUMINANCE is the solo project, created in 2012 in Brussels, by the BelgoFrench musician and producer Dea Hydra. ((((((As an ancient member of Soror Dolorosa and current member of Emptiness, Dea has long been involved in the Goth Rock and Metal scene before developing a more personal way into Dark wave and Synthpop territories. His love for sounds and machines also lead him to collaborate as session musician with Position Parallèle and Sylvaine. Following a series of releases in labels such as Weyrd Son Records, Artoffact Records or Medical Records, he toured extensively in Europe and up to Lebanon and Russia.))))))))) Despite roots that plunge into the darkest and thorniest forests, the music of Luminance always strives to let rays of pure emotion through its stormy and threatening skies . The bittersweet melancholy of his compositions crystallizes in explosions of color and sophisticated sound textures that make each track a true journey worthy of the soundtrack of a fantasy epic. His sensitivity and skills make him a regular collaborator, through his «Les Jardins de Verre» studios, as a mastering engineer and producer for Objetrouvé, Tonn or Kernkrach labels, as well as for various bands and projects.
