The pale baron is the great leader of the underwater state.  He always grabs the last piece, even before others have been served. He strongly dislikes poets, they mean all kinds of things between the lines, in white where nothing is written. This makes the baron feel very uncomfortable. Fortunately, Felix & Felka are not poets. They are singers….
‘The pale baron’ is a new musical fable by Anna Vercammen & Joeri Cnapelinckx (‘The queen has vanished’, the anal phase). About an intimate friendship between two musicians during a regime that sees no point in being useful other than the fact of being useful, and that hunts down everything or anyone that is deemed superfluous or different.

Le baron blême est le grand chef de l’État sous-marin. Il s’empare toujours de la dernière bouchée, même quand les autres n’ont encore rien eu. Il déteste fortement les poètes. Ils veulent dire toutes sortes de choses entre les lignes, dans le blanc où rien n’est écrit. Cela rend le baron très mal à l’aise. Heureusement, Felix et Felka ne sont pas des poètes. Ils sont chanteurs…
‘Le baron blême’ est une nouvelle fable musicale d’ Anna Vercammen et Joeri Cnapelinckx. L’histoire d’une amitié étroite entre deux musiciens sous un régime uniquement intéressé par l’utilité de ce qui est utile et chasse tout ce qu’il juge superflu ou différent.  
Après ‘La Reine a disparu’, Anna Vercammen et Joeri Cnapelinckx créent un nouveau spectacle musical jeune public à plusieurs niveaux de lecture.

In de onderwaterstaat is de bleke baron de leider.Hij neemt altijd het laatste hapje en niemand mag hem tegenspreken. Aan dichters heeft hij een grote hekel, ze bedoelen van alles tussen de regels, in het wit waar niets geschreven staat. Daar voelt de baron zich heel ongemakkelijk bij. Gelukkig zijn Felix & Felka geen dichters. Ze zijn zangers….
‘De bleke baron’ is een muzikale fabel van Anna Vercammen & Joeri Cnapelinckx (‘De koningin is verdwenen’, de Anale fase). Over een innige vriendschap tussen twee muzikanten tijdens een bewind dat enkel het nut van het nut inziet en jacht maakt op al wat of wie ze overbodig acht.
Het verhaal en de liedjes van de voorstelling werden ook gebundeld in het gelijknamig boek uitgegeven door De Eenhoorn, met illustraties van Chiara Lammens.
