THE RED BOX, ACT 2 - Opening Art Brussels 2025
Description
An ongoing collaboration between Australian artist-architect duo Olivia Lennon and Jan van Schaik, THE RED BOX first explored the space of L'Escaut's 1910s industrial warehouse during Art Brussels 2024. Over the past year, a variety of artists have responded to this installation, contributing to its evolution.
For Art Brussels 2025, the duo returns with THE RED BOX, ACT 2, responding to last year’s Act 1 by installing human-sized maquettes within its set. Using everyday building materials, they transform the space into sculptural reflections on spatial orientation, architectural form, and the personality of objects.

We are also open for Art Brussels from Friday, April 25th to Sunday, April 27th from 2PM – 7PM.
