Bamko asbl organise une visite féministe et décoloniale qui a pour but de
proposer une histoire partielle et partiale du chocolat belge et de mettre cette
histoire en lien avec l’Afrique et les dominations occidentales (à savoir
l’esclavage, la colonisation et la néocolonisation).
Quelle est la véritable histoire du chocolat belge ?
D'ailleurs cette histoire est-elle si belge que ça ? Comment le continent
Africain contribue-t-il au rayonnement de la Belgique et dans quelles condition
?
La visite se déroulera dans les quartiers de la Grand-Place de Bruxelles et de
la Place Sainte-Catherine, car l’on peut acheter en ces lieux ce que d’aucuns
considèrent comme étant le meilleur du chocolat belge. La visite sera guidée par
Mireille-Tsheusi ROBERT.

Bamko ASBL has organised a feminist, decolonial tour which aims at offering a
partial history of Belgian chocolate and a link between this and the
colonisation/domination of Africa by the west (i.e. slavey, colonisation and
neo-colonialism).
What is the real story of Belgian chocolate and how Belgian is it really?
How does the African continent contribute to Belgium’s influence and under what
conditions?
The tour will take place in Grand Place and throughout Sainte-Catherine. These
are two of the places where some say you can buy the best Belgian chocolate.

What if, on a Sunday morning, the normal city scene on Place de la Monnaie is
interrupted? After Tornar (2015) and INVITED (2018), Seppe baeyens steps outside
the walls of the theater and seeks out public space. For the duration of a
performance, he connects dancers and musicians, theater audiences and chance
passers-by into a temporary community. In playful interactions, surprising
compositions arise again and again in which everyone turns out to influence the
whole. Birds is a generous, social choreography, in search of moments of shared
amazement, imagination and alienation.

Et si, un dimanche matin, la routine urbaine de la place de la Monnaie était
interrompue ? Après Tornar (2015) et INVITED (2018), Seppe Baeyens quitte les
murs habituels du théâtre et envahit l’espace public avec des danseurs et des
musiciens. Avec eux, le temps d’une courte performance, Birds, il relie ces
artistes aux spectateurs et aux passants occasionnels, créant une communauté
temporaire. Dans des interactions ludiques, des compositions surprenantes
prennent forme, encore et encore, où chacun semble influencer l’ensemble. Une
chorégraphie généreuse et sociale, qui offrira des moments d’étonnement et
d’imagination partagés.

Wat als op een zondagochtend de loop der dingen op het Muntplein wordt
onderbroken? Na Tornar (2015) en INVITED (2018) treedt Seppe baeyens buiten de
muren van het theater en zoekt hij samen met dansers en muzikanten de openbare
ruimte op. Voor de duur van een korte voorstelling, Birds, verbindt hij
performers, theaterpubliek en toevallige passanten tot een tijdelijke
gemeenschap. In speelse interacties ontstaan zo telkens opnieuw verrassende
composities waarbij iedereen van invloed blijkt te zijn op het geheel. Een
genereuze, sociale choreografie, op zoek naar momenten van gedeelde verbazing en
verbeelding.
