À l’occasion de l’événement « Art Nouveau Brussels 2023 », la Fondation Roi Baudouin présente des chefs-d’œuvre de sa collection. Pièces majeures ou objets usuels, chaque œuvre recèle une histoire ou une anecdote particulière, à découvrir lors de cette exposition gratuite.

Grâce à la générosité de mécènes, la Fondation a pu acquérir des œuvres de Victor Horta, Philippe Wolfers ou encore Henry Van de Velde. Exemplaires uniques, bijoux d’artistes, meubles, reliures... : une grande diversité de pièces, habituellement exposées dans différents musées belges, est exceptionnellement réunie au musée BELvue.

Ter gelegenheid van ‘Art Nouveau Brussels 2023’ presenteert de Koning Boudewijnstichting art nouveau meesterwerken uit haar collectie: zowel topwerken als heel verscheiden gebruiksvoorwerpen. Achter elk object schuilt een bijzonder verhaal of een interessante anekdote, te ontdekken in deze gratis tentoonstelling.

Dankzij de vrijgevigheid van mecenassen kon de Stichting werk verwerven van o.a. Victor Horta, Philippe Wolfers, Henry Van de Velde. Unieke exemplaren, kunstenaarsjuwelen, meubelen, boekbanden, … een enorme variëteit aan stukken, die gewoonlijk te zien zijn in verschillende Belgische musea en nu uitzonderlijk samengebracht worden in het BELvue museum.

As part of ‘Art Nouveau Brussels 2023’, the King Baudouin Foundation will be exhibiting a series of art nouveau masterpieces from its collection – from priceless works of art to a variety of everyday objects. Visit this free exhibition to discover the special stories and interesting anecdotes behind each of the objects.

Thanks to the generosity of its patrons, the Foundation has been able to acquire work by artists like Victor Horta, Philippe Wolfers and Henry Van de Velde. The wide variety of unique pieces – from art jewellery to furniture and book covers – are all part of different public collections, but will now be showcased for the first time in one and the same exhibition at the BELvue museum.
