PLAY is a laboratory where we explore the different ways we listen, how audience and performers collaborate to produce musical meanings, and how, through music, we create bonds and communities.

We invite musicians and audiences to interact and reflect on their collective ownership of sound in order to create a final performance. Throughout the sessions, we will delve into pieces spanning genres and eras, inviting the students to bring their own repertoire and further explore how to make it resonate with a returning audience. We will engage in listening meditations and invite the audience members to perform music created for non-musicians to fully dive in the musicking process!

This laboratory is divided into two main blocks, which can be attended independently or as a complete series.

If you are NOT able to join us at the Haagsepianohuis for the first block, you can join us in KORZO for the second one, every Wednesday from 02/04/25!
