Akrofo System

Description

Connection between Jazz and African Rhythms  Akrofo System was born from the encounter between the most African of jazz pianists, Philippe Monange, and percussionists Youssouf Traoré, Laurent Clipet, and saxophonist/flutist Thomas Koenig. These four versatile musicians pay tribute to the unique connection between jazz and African rhythms. In a setup where the bass is replaced by West African dunduns, jazz and contemporary piano intertwine with saxophone and flute featuring Coltrane-inspired tones, Afro-Cuban percussion, and modern electronic sounds. This music freely and audaciously transcends borders and styles. From composition to improvised dialogues, Akrofo System explores a repertoire of original creations, complemented by a few reimagined covers, all with a constant commitment to sharing with the audience. VIDEO LINK : https://lnk.at/akrofosystem TICKET: 16€ Members – No Members  18€
