Synopsis:

In the port of Rotterdam, seafarers stay on ships in transit for months, only connected to the outside world via their telephone. This original documentary takes the viewer to the surreal world of where man and machine merge in a technological environment.

Director's biography:

Anna Witte graduated as a filmmaker from the St. Joost Academy of Art in Breda. Her work focuses on people, their relationships, and their dreams, often emphasizing the tragic and unpredictable aspects of life. Additionally, the role of media and the ethical questions involved in filmmaking are recurring themes in her films and her work.

Josefien van Kooten graduated as a filmmaker from the St. Joost Academy of Art in Breda. Her work reflects the free approach she gained from her art background, as well as a strong desire to tell stories about subjects that are important to her. In her films, Josefien presents a unique and personal vision with social relevance.
