ACID ARAB ٣ (Trois)

From the transcultural cauldron that is Paris, this formidable Franco-Algerian collective is the result of a meeting between Pierre-Yves Casanova, Nicolas Borne, Hervé Carvalho, Guido Minisky and Kenzi Bourras. Thanks to their irresistible blend of powerful electronic music and Arab and Middle Eastern sounds, this Parisian group has set stages ablaze and won over French and international audiences alike.
Aiming to create a space for Arab culture in the world of contemporary electronic music, the members of Acid Arab have patiently honed their style through their travels and numerous collaborations with artists from around the Mediterranean.
After a series of compilations released as EPs on the Versatile label, they signed with Crammed Discs and released their impressive debut album, “Musique de France”, in 2016. Following this, the band performs several hundred times, in over fifty countries on four continents. “Jdid”, the second album, will be released at the end of 2019.
Acid Arab’s long-awaited third album will be released in February 2023. Entitled “٣ (Trois)”, it consists of ten bangers cut for the dancefloor, as many nuggets that will provide
sophisticated production and intriguing, varied performances by eight guest singers from North Africa, Syria and Turkey, including Cem Yldiz, Cheb Halim, Sofiane Saidi and Rachid Taha.
From Algerian gasba to Anatolian trance, via synthetic dabkeh, bionic raï and many other styles, real or imagined, Acid Arab has incorporated a range of colors, breaking the boundaries between genres. Their sumptuous new album allows them to push the boundaries and expand their musical territories even further.
