Joanna James is an award-winning filmmaker and director known for her work that highlights social issues and empowers underrepresented voices. She is the director and producer of A Fine Line, a critically acclaimed documentary that explores the challenges faced by women in the culinary world. With a passion for storytelling that sparks change, Joanna’s work continues to inspire audiences by shedding light on important topics surrounding equality, leadership, and the intersection of food and culture.

Chef Dominique Crenn, the first and only female chef in the United States to earn three Michelin stars, is a trailblazer in the culinary world, celebrated for her resilience, artistry, and commitment to sustainability. In addition to her groundbreaking success in the United States, she has brought her visionary culinary perspective to Paris with two remarkable restaurants. Meanwhile, French Nola offers an intimate exploration of the flavors of French and New Orleans cuisine, blending cultural traditions with contemporary techniques.

Chef Georgiana Viou, hailed as one of the most exciting voices in modern French cuisine, has earned a Michelin star for her restaurant, Rouge, located in Nîmes, France. Renowned for her ability to seamlessly fuse her West African heritage with the culinary traditions of France, Chef Viou creates dishes that are as vibrant and soulful as they are innovative. Her cuisine tells a powerful story of cultural convergence, celebrating the richness of her roots while embracing the techniques and flavors of French gastronomy. As a rising star and cultural ambassador of modern French cuisine, Chef Viou continues to inspire with her artistry, redefining the boundaries of fine dining.

Chef Adé Carrena is an award-winning chef and storyteller specializing in Neo-West African cuisine. Named the 2023 Chef of the Year by the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, she also earned the People’s Choice award at Beyond: The Cary Film Festival for Bite of Bénin. Dedicated to bridging cultural gaps and reimagining West African food, Adé has spent six years curating culinary experiences that celebrate Black foodways and support local Black farmers. As the founder of iLéWA Foods, she champions economic empowerment for women producers in West Africa, fostering equity in global markets.
