Art nouveau in the brussel's city center

Description

Saint-Gilles, Ixelles and Schaerbeek are famous for their Art Nouveau treasures; but this architectural style does not just grace the streets of the outskirts of Brussels. The city centre (known locally as “the Pentagon”, due to its shape) is also encrusted with little gems to discover. Department stores, shop windows, private homes and even schools bear witness to the success of the grand masters of Art Nouveau. Why not grab your bike and admire a wealth of marvellous creations, from the large Falstaff and Cirio cafés to the small shops in the city centre, and from the Cateau Horta nursery school to the large Palace Hotel?
