4-hand piano duet: Virginia Corricelli & Laura Nunes - works by Schubert, Schumann and Debussy

Laura Nunes was born on 10 September 1999 in Aveiro. She began her musical studies at the age of 6, in the piano class of Professor Emília Gonçalves, at the Conservatório de Música deAveiro Caloust Gulbenkian. The following year, she joined the class of Professor Patrícia Sousa, with whom she studied until the age of 17, when she completed her studies at the Conservatory. In 2017, she began her studies at ESMAE, under Professor Constantin Sandu. She is currently in the final year of her Masters at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, in the class of Professor Johan Schmidt. During her eighteen years of piano studies, Laura has taken part in several Master Classes with renowned pianists such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Imogen Cooper Cooper, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Aleksandar Madžar, Paulo Oliveira, Luiz de Moura Castro, Artur Pizarro, Josep Colom and Eldar Nebolsin. She has also taken part in several festivals, such as the Óbidos International Piano Week - SIPO (2016), the Orihuela International Music Forum (2018 and 2019), the Summer Classical Festival and Academy (2028 and 2019) and the Nice International Summer Academy (2020), where she was invited to play in the Student Concert, recorded and broadcasted live. Laura has won prizes in local, national and international competitions. Laura performs regularly in public recitals, both as a soloist and as part of chamber music projects.

Virginia Corricelli was born on 18 April 2000 in Foggia, Italy. She began her musical studies at the local private music school under the guidance of Maria Candelma. She obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in piano at the Conservatorio di Musica U. Giordano Conservatory of Music in Foggia in the class of Professor Giuseppe Spagnoli, with first class honours. In 2019, she took a one-year private course with Andrew Wright in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2020, she will go on an Erasmus course at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in the class of Professor Victor Chestopal, where she obtained her second Master's degree. During her years of piano studies, she has attended numerous masterclasses (Massimiliano Génot, Andrew Wright, Ellen Corver, Gianluca Luisi), Impressions (Julich, Germany), MusicAlta (Alsace, France). She is a very active pianist in the field of collaborative piano. She has performed with opera singers, duo and trio formations (from woodwind to string) and even with the Orchestra of the Italian National Police. As well as being a pianist, she is an active piano teacher in the Brussels region. Since 2021, she has been one of the two members of the Calliope duo.

En 2019, elle a suivi un cours privé d’un an avec Andrew Wright à La Haye, aux Pays-Bas. En 2020, elle part en Erasmus au
Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles dans la classe du professeur Victor Chestopal, où elle obtient son deuxième Master. Au cours de ses années d’études pianistiques, elle a suivi de nombreuses masterclass (Massimiliano Génot, Andrew Wright, Ellen Corver, Gianluca Luisi), Impressions (Julich, Allemagne), MusicAlta (Alsace, France). Elle est une pianiste très active dans le domaine du piano collaboratif. Elle s’est produite avec des chanteurs d’opéra, des formations en duo et en trio (des bois à la formation à cordes) et même avec l’Orchestre de la Police Nationale d’Italie. En plus d’être pianiste, elle est professeur de piano actif dans la région bruxelloise. Depuis 2021, elle est l’une des deux membres du duo Calliope.

Ze is een zeer actieve pianiste op het gebied van collaborative piano. Ze heeft opgetreden met operazangers, duo en trio formaties (van houtblazers tot strijkers) en zelfs met het Orkest van de Italiaanse Nationale Politie. Naast pianiste is ze ook actief als pianolerares in de Brusselse regio. Sinds 2021 is ze een van de twee leden van het duo Calliope.
