Furmi Gomez (saxophone), Rodolfo Neves (trumpet),Vincent Bruyninckx (piano), Basile Rahola (bass) and Armando Luongo (drums) Herbie Hancock, born on April 12, 1940, in Chicago, is a celebrated American jazz pianist and composer. As a child prodigy, he performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at age 11. In the 1960s, he joined the Miles Davis Quintet, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of jazz’s post-bop era.
