Description
The evening begins with a Work-In-Progress presentation of Soul Surface, the first dance creation supported by BHM Belgium, choreographed by Zoe Hollinshead and Lateef Williams. In addition, Pulses and Places will be presented by Ausia Jones and Matthew Johnson.
Following this, a panel discussion will take place on the experiences of Black women in the Belgian dance and performance scene.
Speakers: Moya Michael, Chris Lange, Zoe Hollinshead, Lateef Williams and moderated by Marie Umuhoza
The night will end with a groovy DJ set by Kassy.

De avond begint met een Work-In-Progress presentatie van Soul Surface, de eerste door BHM Belgium ondersteunde danscreatie, gechoreografeerd door Zoe Hollinshead en Lateef Williams. Daarnaast wordt Pulses and Places gepresenteerd door Ausia Jones en Matthew Johnson.
Aansluitend volgt een talk over de ervaringen van Zwarte vrouwen in het Belgische dans- en performanceveld.
