RIGHTABOUTNOW INC. presenteert alweer de 8e editie van het RIGHTABOUTNOW Festival, met een spectaculaire opening op do 15 december in Bar Bario, en op vr 16 en za 17 december een waanzinnige line-up in de Brakke Grond in Amsterdam.
Het RIGHTABOUTNOW Festival is een platform voor opmerkelijke nieuwe makers en artiesten uit verschillende disciplines die de meerstemmigheid van de stad spiegelen. Nu, in deze tijden van enorme crisis en transitie, lijkt daar meer dan ooit behoefte aan.

In 2019 brengt Fokke Simons hun debuutsingle ‘Fancy’ uit die hen meteen nationale faam oplevert en hen in de schijnwerpers zet. Hierna volgt de single ‘Oh My’, een nummer waarmee Fokke Simons officieel hun stempel op de Nederlandse hiphopscene drukt. Hun originaliteit en humor blijft bij grote artiesten niet onopgemerkt, ook zangeres Maan zwicht voor de groep en laat hen in het voorprogramma van haar solotour staan.Afgelopen jaar brachten zij plaat na plaat uit, waaronder de gloednieuwe EP Helemaal Verdwaald. Ze staan steeds vaker op het podium en groeit hun fanbase met de dag. In augustus 2021 lanceerde ze hun hit single ‘Adder’ ft. Antoon, met catchy beat en herkenbare lyrics.

In intriguing choral music from the late 20th and early 21st century, classical
compositional tradition and groundbreaking, sometimes transcendent ideas enter
into an inspiring symbiosis.
Op een dag staat er midden in het oerwoud zomaar een potje. En naast het potje
ligt een briefje.
‘Op dit potje passen alleen de allerliefste billetjes,’ staat erop geschreven.
Alle dieren proberen het potje uit, maar de billen van de olifant zijn te groot,
de slang heeft helemaal geen billen en de aap weet niet eens wat hij met een
potje moet doen. Terwijl de dieren kibbelen, komt er opeens een jongetje
tevoorschijn en dan beseffen ze voor wie het potje is bedoeld.
Jeritza Toney vertelt verhalen, zingt en speelt muziek, in nauw samenspel met
het publiek. Zij zal op een muzikale wijze deze bestseller vertalen naar een
vrolijke en speelse muziektheatervoorstelling voor de allerkleinsten.
Klein Amsterdam Producties ontwikkelt en produceert jeugdtheater. Ze bedenken
concepten en koppelen daar de juiste artiesten en creatievelingen aan. Met
artistieke teams maken ze vervolgens mooie, vrolijke en toegankelijke
producties. Zo’n productie kan zowel klein- als grootschalig zijn en geschikt
voor peuters, kleuters en jongste jeugd.
