This exhibition presents the works of Klara Rusan (Klarxy) narrating a story of a brain affected by ADHD. These drawings show the formation of thoughts in ADHD conditions, the appearance of intrusive thoughts arising from disorders disrupting regular thoughts, and what it’s like to navigate education in such conditions... The artist’s starting point for this project is her personal experience – a few years ago, when her friends asked her about her thought process, she illustrated it by using the motif of a large Olympic swimming pool (representing the brain) crowded with swimmers (representing different thoughts). The exhibition is designed with the idea of its continuous expansion at the forefront. The artist started with pencil drawings and illustrations made with ink and white acrylic, eventually transitioning to digital illustration, graphics, and painting. The works range from small formats to those covering whole walls, all in the spirit of ADHD, creating a multifaceted and dynamic omnibus of different experiences and stories To complement the exhibition and help raise awareness of life living with ADHD, we have organised a conference to be opened by one of the pioneers of ADHD coaching - Mr Xavier van Oost. He will share his vision of this paradoxical way of functioning. After a short lecture there will be an artist talk with Klarxy about her experience of living with ADHD and a Q&A session. A mural on glass by Klarxy will be inaugurated on the same evening and after the conference, drinks and tapas will be served. Looking forward to celebrating the opening of this exciting exhibition together.

********** English **********
Bringing together works by some 18 Belgian and international artists, this exhibition borrows its title from Emily Dickinson's poem of the same name, in which the poet invites us to be radically honest, but to tell the truth indirectly, obliquely, so as not to shock or overwhelm.
Tell All The Truth But Tell It Slant - raises a variety of open questions: from the relationship between truth and knowledge, from the opposition between certainty and doubt, to the pitfalls of lying; from the writing of history to the complexity of belief systems, to the role of consciousness, mind and body.
In addition to the artists' works, scientists, philosophers, epistemologists and experts from different fields have been invited to contribute to the exhibition, offering the public reflections, views and considerations from the most diverse perspectives of contemporary society.
What is true, how is it decided and by whom? Is science always right?
