CASH

How do outsider artists talk about cash? Is money present in their work, and in what forms?
Based on this seemingly "simple and basic" thematic approach, the aim is to talk "cash" about the material situation of artists who are considered marginal by the society in which they live. The exhibition brings together works from various Belgian and French collections, and highlights the work of artists represented by the Galerie du moineau écarlate in Paris.

Comment les artistes « brut·es » parlent-ils et parlent-elles de cash ? L’argent est-il présent dans leurs œuvres, et sous quelles formes ?
À partir de cette approche thématique, en apparence « simple et basique », il s’agit de parler de manière « cash » de la situation matérielle des artistes qui sont considéré·es comme marginaux·ales par la société dans laquelle ils et elles vivent. L'exposition rassemblera des œuvres issues de diverses collections belges et françaises et l'univers d'artistes représenté·es par la Galerie du moineau écarlate à Paris sera mis en exergue.

Hoe praten 'brut' kunstenaars over geld? Is geld aanwezig in hun werk, en in welke vormen?
Op basis van deze ogenschijnlijk 'eenvoudige' thematische benadering is het de bedoeling om op een directe manier te praten over de materiële situatie van kunstenaars die als marginaal worden beschouwd door de maatschappij waarin ze leven. De tentoonstelling brengt werken samen uit verschillende Belgische en Franse collecties en brengt het werk onder de aandacht van kunstenaars die vertegenwoordigd worden door de Galerie du moineau écarlate in Parijs.
