The Minuscules accompanies the evolution of a civic struggle in Nicaragua, initiated by the peasants' movement against the construction of the grand interoceanic canal that would cut the country in half at the feet of the volcano, through lakes, forests and farmland.
In reaction to multiple abuses of power, different social movements converge and, in April 2018, the insurrection explodes. This is the struggle of Elba, Dona Chica, Gaby, Elyla and many other "Minuscules", from the edge of the trench to exile.

Les Minuscules accompagne l'évolution d'une lutte civique au Nicaragua, initiée par le mouvement paysan contre le projet de construction du grand canal interocéanique, qui trancherait le pays en deux, au pied du volcan, à travers terres cultivées, lacs et forêts.
En réaction aux multiples abus du pouvoir, différentes luttes sociales convergent et, en avril 2018, l'insurrection éclate. C'est la lutte d'Elba, Dona Chica, Gaby, Elyla et tant d'autres "minuscules", depuis le bord de la tranchée jusqu'à l'exil.

“Les Minuscules” volgt de evolutie van een burgerstrijd in Nicaragua, geïnitieerd door de boerenbeweging tegen de plannen om het Grote Interoceanische Kanaal te bouwen, dat het land in tweeën zou snijden, aan de voet van de vulkaan, door landbouwgrond, meren en bossen.
Als reactie op het vele machtsmisbruik kwamen verschillende sociale strijden samen en in april 2018 brak er een opstand uit. Dit is de strijd van Elba, Dona Chica, Gaby, Elyla en zovele anderen, van de rand van de loopgraaf tot ballingschap.
