With a career spanning forty years, Michèle Noiret returns to the stage with a
new solo and a major challenge: questioning her own style of "dance-cinema",
without cinema! On an empty stage with no screens or projected images, and with
the help of playwright Thierry Thieû Niang, she offers us a change of register
to surprise herself and us. A dance that is part of the evolution of a
choreographic language carried by a body that has been around for an entire
oeuvre. While playing with her own image, the dancer/choreographer summons other
characters who bring a solo to the group. Past and present enter into dialogue,
interact and remind us of the fragility, the beauty, but also the strength of
maturity when it never stops exploring new territories.
At 7 pm, in the Mezzo room, we present Soleil Constant by Louise Baduel.
Combi-ticket available.

“danscinema” in vraag stellen, zonder cinema!

Where does the identity of a dancer emerge from within a quartet of identical figures? Through which micro-shifts or serious contortions? How does every dancer react to this, while respecting the urge to write a shared choreographic language, all executed in academic tights? There is no answer without a healthy dose of irony! Through mirrored figures, sudden unisons, pauses on bodies captured in incongruous or unbearably referential poses. And then, there are examples that should not be followed but which are accepted and attempts to influence that turn against themselves.Meritxell Barbera and Inma Garcia, a duo of choreographers who are highly committed to the artistic life of the city of Valencia, which endlessly shimmers with azure under the Mediterranean sky, demonstrate a perfect combination of freedom of tone and lightness of mood.
